Yoga in Copenhagen

We offer courses in Yoga and Meditation taught in English in the city centre in Købmagergade 65, close to the Round Tower. Each class is composed as a harmonious sequence of different techniques. You will learn physical yoga exercises, breathing exercises, deep relaxation, concentration and meditation techniques.

Vasistha Jyoti from Scotland, and Gyanashakti from the UK, are teaching the English Yoga and Meditation classes.

Morning Yoga

Starting at 7am – 8.30am, the class will give energy and calm to take with you for the rest of your day.

We also include more of the concentration exercise Tratak, where you gaze at the flame of a candle, improving eyesight. Enroll here.

Source of Energy

The meditation Source of Energy is based on a breath that releases tension and gives energy – and you gradually discover some of the body’s central energy currents and chakras. You also learn how to use a mantra that further deepens the practise and increases concentration.

The next course starts on November 5th 2020 . The teaching runs Thursday and Tuesday at 19.30 – 21.00 over 5 times. You are welcome to come the first time as an introduction and then decide if you want to join the course. Enroll here.

Pregnancy Yoga

We also offer courses in pregnancy yoga. These are taught by experienced teachers; the classes will focus on poses and exercises that can support the changes and challenges relating to pregnancy.

Yoga for Companies

Yoga and meditation reduces stress and increases concentration. We offer classes to businesses where our teachers come to you, or you are welcome to come to our well equipped and spacious yoga rooms. We have taught large tech companies, CEOs and private classes tailored to meet different needs. Call or e-mail us to arrange classes or to find out more information.

Meditation courses in Copenhagen

Comprehensive meditation courses with Swami Janakananda are held in Copenhagen as well. No courses are scheduled at the current time.

Satsang

Swami Janakananda, the founder of Scandinavian Yoga and Meditation School, holds Satsang (talks on yoga and meditation) and guides a meditation. See the page  Satsang for more details. You can also participate in Kirtan the same evening at 19.00 to 20.00.

Sing yourself to a state full of energy, peace, wellbeing and joy through meditative mantra singing.

Yoga and Meditation Retreats in English

In southern Sweden, at Håå International Retreat Center, two hours drive from Copenhagen, all courses are taught in English – we have weekend and five-days retreats, longer retreats from 10-14 days retreats to the annual Three Month Sadhana Course, where, among other meditations and yoga methods, you learn the Kriya Yoga meditation.
